The policy committees and working groups are of particular significance for the day-to-day work of Universities Austria:

• The policy committees of Universities Austria have been established for communication and coordination purposes between the members of the rectorates responsible for certain issues.
• Working groups provide a platform for the specific concerns. 

Currently, there are seven policy committees and working groups at Universities Austria, which cover the following work areas:

• Research
• Teaching
• International Affairs
• Human Resources
